Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
A chopper flying near a crowded California beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, eventually dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Videos uploaded online capture the helicopter commencing to spiral near the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
