The opposing team had taken the lead at their home field with quarterback Fields scoring a five-yard TD to conclude the New York's initial series
But the Patriots answered in the second quarter as Henderson ran in two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier hauled in a throw from Maye at the rear of the endzone halfway into the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7
"That was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been great for him to keep gaining experience," Maye commented on Henderson. "He aims to be great."
Fields found Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Andy Borregales booted a two kicks in the final period as the home side sealed the victory
