The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a substantial big screen presence in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, Charli embodies what she calls as a dark version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, the star remarked.
She elaborated in a discussion: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept originated from the pressure to create one.
A Sneak Peek into The Film
The debut trailer, launched on Thursday, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with made-up off-stage interactions.
The Moment is directed and co-written by the director, who explained that the plot focuses on a reality where Charli opted for alternate decisions throughout the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

A Hectic Film Calendar
The mockumentary is only one of several future film appearances for Charli, who has featured in three independent movies recently.

Additionally, she joined to appear in Dakota Johnson’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
Next February will also see the launch of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase fresh tracks from the artist.
She will also create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release in the coming year.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on January 30.
